Butterfly Day

Butterfly Day, on Saturday, September 13, is an event from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM where nature enthusiasts can learn about and interact with butterflies, moths, and caterpillars. A key feature is the Butterfly Tent, which visitors can enter for a brief period during a pre-reserved half-hour window. These time slots are available at 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, and 2:30 PM. The event also includes Monarch butterfly tagging and release demonstrations at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM as part of the "Monarch Watch" program, and access to Grasshopper Grove for nature play. Admission is $12 for members and $14 for non-members aged three and up, with free entry for children under two. Pre-registration is highly recommended to secure a time slot and closes on Friday, September 6, at 3:00 PM, though walk-ins are permitted if space is available.
