Join the Robertson County Historical Society for their Monthly Evening Lecture on Friday, October 24th at 6:00 PM at the Robertson County History Museum, featuring guest speaker Margaret Verble, an enrolled Cherokee Nation citizen with a rich family legacy in Oklahoma. Raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and now residing in Lexington, Kentucky, Verble is a celebrated author whose debut novel, Maud's Line, was a 2016 Pulitzer Prize Finalist, followed by Cherokee America (a 2019 New York Times Notable Book and Spur Award winner) and Two Feathers Fell from the Sky (a 2021 Booklist Best Novel). Her latest work, Stealing (2023), has been hailed by the New York Times as a powerful, timeless novel akin to classic American literature.
