Masjid Annur is excited to announce the 1st Annual Annur Qur'an Competition, dedicated to fostering a deeper connection with the Qur'an through memorization and recitation! This competition is open to residents of Sacramento, Yolo, and San Joaquin Counties, for both brothers and sisters aged 25 and younger, with various age groups and levels to accommodate different memorization capacities.
Competition Dates: Friday, November 7th – Sunday, November 9th, 2025
Registration Opens: Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 at 10:00 AM (PST)
Deadline to Register: Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 (No late registrations will be accepted.)
Entry Fee: $20 per participant (due at check-in)
Competition Categories and Prizes:
Participants can choose from four levels based on Juz memorization:
Level 1 (1 Juz):
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $250
3rd Place: $125
Level 2 (3 Juz):
1st Place: $1,000
2nd Place: $500
3rd Place: $250
Level 3 (5 Juz):
1st Place: $1,500
2nd Place: $750
3rd Place: $375
Level 4 (10 Juz):
1st Place: Umrah Trip
2nd Place: $1,250
3rd Place: $750
All participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement. Over $10,000 in awards will be distributed, including a fully paid Umrah trip for the Level 4 (10 Juz) winner!
