Fresh Air Families is a weekly summer program designed to help caregivers connect with nature, their families, and each other while exploring Bozeman’s beautiful trails and parks.
At Roots, we believe getting outside isn’t just good for kids — it’s essential for caregivers, too. Nature offers a reset: a change of scenery, a breath of fresh air, and a chance to feel grounded. You don’t have to be an experienced hiker to enjoy the sun on your face, the wind in your hair, and the dirt beneath your feet.
This is a no-judgment, no-expectations group that welcomes all families — including expecting parents. Whether you’re up for a full hike or just a short stroll, you’re invited to join at your own pace. Stop for snacks, turn around when needed, and come as often or as little as you’d like. The whole family is always welcome — including dads, partners, grandparents, and caregivers of all kinds.
We meet on select Fridays at 9:15 AM, and begin our hike or stroll at 9:30 AM. Please come prepared with water, snacks, sunscreen, hats, and anything else your family may need.

We can’t wait to see you on the trail!
