29th Annual Candlelight Cemetery Tour

The Gallatin City Cemetery is home to old-fashioned tombstones and towering memorials that date back to 1814.

Many of Sumner County’s most fascinating characters are buried in that cemetery.

At the Candlelight Cemetery Tour, you will hear some of their life stories as you follow the candlelit path through the cemetery.

The 29th Annual Cemetery Tour will center around Jordan Gibson, a free man of color who served in the Revolutionary War, and his descendants.

Tours begin at 5 p.m.; a new tour starts every seven minutes. Tickets will be sold for specific start times. This is a rain or shine event.

Tickets go on sale to the public Saturday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m.
